FILIPPOS PREMIUM GREEK BAKLAVA. Our company was established in 1974, and still maintains premises of a confectionery workshop and three retail sale stores in northern Greece. More than 40 years of know-how and love for what we do are enclosured in a Greek traditional baklava, turned into a gourmet chocolate dessert that captures every consumer.

The product you are holding in your hand represents the development of today's modern Greek confectionery craft, as well as the tradition of baklava with a chocolate coating.

The Mouratidis family moved to Greece as refugees from Kotiora Pontos (today's Ortou region, Turkey) after the population exchange.

The family's grandson, Filippos Mouratidis, has been a pastry chef since 1964. He adds some ingredients from the region to the local baklava.

He inherited the recipe for this from his grandmother. The repeated layers of perek filled with sugar, honey and walnuts represent the original baklava, which is already known from the Byzantine and Pontic cuisine.

Our baklava is unique! It is made in the traditional way, only with regional ingredients, such as very fine "Viritou" dough sheets, walnuts and filled with a unique blend of spices.

The baklava is carefully poured with syrup after it is baked with fine butter.

It is a first-class cake (pastry) that accompanies our everyday life, but is also offered at official events. Baklava is offered all year round.
