A few words about the chef, we are meeting today Stavros Psomopoulos with 23 years of experience in the field of gastronomy as an Executive Chef of the President Athens Hotel. With the need of daily development, he has dedicated several years to seminars and training. In 2007 he traveled to Milan to the "Westin Palace" hotel of the Starwood Collection awarded with 2 Michelin stars, where he stayed for "cooking stage" in a kitchen brigade of 36 people. Later in 2015 he attended the Paul Bocuse School in Paris, where he was taught French cuisine in its hometown. Immediately, next stop are the seminars of the only chef in the world with 21 Michelin stars, the nowadays' patriarch of gastronomy Alain Ducasse.
His presence in a seminar with the pioneer chef of molecular gastronomy, Ferran Adria in 2017 in Athens, pushes him to change the way he until then approached his educational capacity in the seminars that he has been teaching since 2014. The culmination of his career is the two years 2017 - 2018 where he is awarded by the global community "The Best Chef Awards" in Warsaw and Milan respectively. Conquering the 104th place in the world ranking of chefs, gives him the opportunity to develop his own way of thinking and to capture with his art and experience, his culinary profile in every signature dish. He has worked as an Executive Chef of Small Luxury Hotels of The Word to 2016 at the hotel "Petasos Resort and Spa" and as a Head Chef at the hotel "Aqua Blu" in the award-winning restaurant “Cuvee”. In 2017 he works as a Private Chef at the villa of the president of the Russian Bank on the island of Rhodes and in 2019 again as a Private Chef of the ambassador of Egypt at his residence in Athens. The hotel units where he worked at such as the "Blue Palace" in Elounda, the Royal Olympic as Chef Banquet, the "Mitsis Hotels" group as an Executive Chef A la Carte, the "Porto Elounda" of the Kokotou family as a Chef A la Carte, are indicative stations in his course until today.
